2 Service Description
We provide wireless Internet to homes in Wolseley and surrounding areas, subject to network availability and feasibility. Our packages may vary by speed, data limits, and service levels.
All installation costs are fully covered by Signal Internet (Pty) Ltd. There are no installation fees or hidden charges to get connected.
3 Eligibility
To be eligible for our service, you must:
- Be 18 years or older.
- Reside within our coverage area.
- Provide accurate and complete personal information during signup.
4 Installation Policy
Installation includes full setup of the required wireless equipment, mounting, alignment, and configuration.
Signal Internet (Pty) Ltd covers 100% of the installation costs, regardless of complexity.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule installations due to weather, technical constraints, or feasibility assessments.
5 Equipment
All equipment provided remains the property of Signal Internet (Pty) Ltd unless purchased outright by the customer.
Customers are responsible for the care of the equipment and may be liable for replacement costs in cases of loss, theft, or damage (excluding normal wear and tear).
All equipment must be returned within 7 days of cancellation in working condition.
6 Payment and Billing
- Services are billed monthly in advance unless otherwise agreed.
- Payments must be made by the due date stated on the invoice.
- Late or non-payment may result in suspension or termination of services without notice.
7 Fair Usage and Acceptable Use
Our services are intended for lawful, personal, and reasonable use.
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Sending unsolicited bulk messages (spam).
- Hosting, distributing, or transmitting illegal, harmful, or offensive content.
- Attempting to breach network security or compromise other users’ access.
Excessive or abnormal usage patterns that degrade network performance may result in speed throttling or service limitations.
8 Fair Usage Policy (FUP)
While Signal Internet (Pty) Ltd provides uncapped services, we maintain a Fair Usage Policy to ensure quality for all users. Customers engaging in usage that impacts overall network performance may have their bandwidth managed to preserve the experience for others.
9 Service Availability and Limitations
- Signal Internet (Pty) Ltd aims to maintain 99% service uptime.
- Planned maintenance will be communicated at least 48 hours in advance.
- In the event of unplanned outages, we aim to restore service within 24 hours.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access and are not liable for losses due to outages or service interruptions.
10 Force Majeure
Signal Internet (Pty) Ltd shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, strikes, power failures, and governmental actions.
11 Cancellation and Termination
- Customers may cancel services with 30 days’ written notice.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate service in cases of breach of these terms, non-payment, or misuse.
- Any equipment provided must be returned within 7 days of cancellation.
12 Privacy and Data Protection
Signal Internet (Pty) Ltd is fully compliant with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
We collect and process personal information only for service delivery, billing, and communication purposes.
Your data will not be sold or disclosed to third parties unless required by law or with your consent.
13 Intellectual Property
All content, branding, and materials on our website and marketing platforms are the intellectual property of Signal Internet (Pty) Ltd or its licensors. These may not be copied, modified, or used without our written permission.
14 Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute, parties agree to attempt to resolve the issue informally. If unresolved, disputes will be referred to the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa (AFSA) and decided under its rules. The language of arbitration shall be English, and the venue shall be in South Africa.
15 Amendments to Terms
Signal Internet (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be published on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
16 Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and interpreted under the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
